LSIZE Setup & Reporting Options

In order to complete your LSIZE Wireless system, you need to select a Setup & Reporting Option.  The option you select will be based upon the type of analysis and report generation you need to do with the measurement information collected by LSIZE Wireless.  You can print reports with LSIZE Mobile Quick Print in both options.  If you are using LSIZE Software for PC, you can download measurements to the PC for long-term storage and analysis and generate a wide range of reports for viewing and printing.

You may find that in your facility you need to use LSIZE Software for PC in the sawmill.  In the dry kiln and planer, where you are primarily just doing spot checks, using LSIZE Wireless that has been configured with LSIZE Mobile Lite Setup may make more sense.  Having the ability to quickly print out the results of these spot checks may be the only analysis that you require.

The type of information that is used to set up and configure LSIZE Mobile is the same whether you are using LSIZE Software for PC or LSIZE Mobile Lite Setup.  In both cases, you are defining items such as process combinations, number of measurements per piece, measurement order, product specifications, etc.  Whether you use LSIZE Software for PC or LSIZE Mobile Lite Setup, you can use LSIZE Mobile Quick Print to generate reports.  If you use LSIZE Software for PC to set up LSIZE Mobile, you can then save your measurement information on the PC for long-term storage and analysis, and also generate a wide range of reports on this information.

LSIZE v11 was released in May 2011.  The major features new to LSIZE v11 are LSIZE Mobile Quick Print and the optional LSIZE Mobile Lite Setup.

LSIZE Software for PC

  • The LSIZE Software for PC is used to configure the measurement bins for LSIZE Wireless and to receive the measurements collected by LSIZE Wireless.

  • Provides short and long-term analysis of your measurement information in both numerical and graphical representation.

  • You have the option to create and print a wide range of reports.

  • Included with LSIZE Software for PC is LSIZE Mobile Quick Print which also allows you to print reports from the Handheld on a printer connected to your PC.

LSIZE Lite Setup

  • When using LSIZE Mobile Lite Setup, your analysis consists of information displayed on the Handheld screen and reports generated by LSIZE Mobile Quick Print.

  • When LSIZE Mobile is configured with LSIZE Mobile Lite Setup, you cannot transfer the measurements to the PC for long-term storage and analysis.

  • This option allows you to use LSIZE Wireless for incoming inspection for plywood facilities buying veneer from the outside, lam plants making engineered wood products, spot checks to monitor real-time measurements, etc.
